In this article we’ll propose alternative ideas to suitably paint Infinity troops while retaining the spirit of each army. Not all colour schemes are set in stone, and customization is the foundation of the miniature painting hobby. Let’s get to it!
PanOceania
These troops are easily identified by their shining blue plate, but an army that adapts to the environment is a winning army. In an alternative scheme, we could switch the blue for a deep green, and the uniforms being almost white-gray.
Nomads
In the Infinity Universe, we all know red is synonymous with the Nomads; but since variety is the spice of life, we propose to darken these troops, replacing grays with blacks, and reds with deep blue - giving them a little more class.
Ariadna
Given that we won’t always battle in the jungles of Dawn, green may not always be the ideal color for certain environments, so we’ll opt for an urban camouflage scheme. We’ll replace the greens with grays or blues - better suited for urban combat, thus retaining the warrior spirit of this army.
Aleph
The Artificial Intelligence allows us to adapt to any setting. As an alternative scheme, we suggest substituting the gray with pale blue (the intensity of this color will be subject to your tastes) and the darkest parts with the original gray, thus inverting the colors, but adding the novelty of blue - a cool color as well.
Straps and pouches will be painted black, and any other details (LEDs, for example) in bright blue, matching with the blue of the uniforms.
Yu Jing
The proud Yu Jing army will dress up wherever they fight. Yellow and orange plate will be replaced by metallic reds, and blues and turquoise with grays close to white, keeping the pride of these troops.
Haqqislam
High temperatures force a certain kind of armament, but a victorious troop is one that’s been trained in a hostile environment, starkly different from its native one. We propose switching the light colors of the uniform with a dark brown. We’ll keep the greens, but the original dark brown will be replaced by a reddish-brown with a higher intensity red - but tending towards brown.
Combined Army
Is there something more versatile than the Combined Army? As a demonstration, we suggest painting their skin purple, armor plate fluorescent green, and the beige parts in black. A change that’s radical and scary…
O12
The newcomers won’t fall short adaptation-wise. We’ll switch the dark blue uniform with deep blue. The light parts of the uniform will be replaced with ochre, and ochre parts with gray.
