ITS Season 18 + N5.3 Rules Update

The IX Interplanetario closes the chapter on ITS Season 17, marking the end of a completely revamped ITS. An epic finale to a very different season.

But before we dive into the details of what the new season brings, let's congratulate the winners of ITS Season 17. Axel claims victory as the ITS champion, as well as the spanish Ranking winner. Cobraprime takes the USA Ranking, and chroma.mk stands as the winner of the International Ranking. Congratulations to all three!

And the forecast for this season is: High temperatures in Shinju! It seemed like things might cool down on this cursed planet, but no, we are still living under the shadow of the Red Fever. And it’s all thanks to our friendly neighborhood Nomad Nation.

Judging by this, the season is going to be a heated one, packed with content and surprises! To start off, the time has come to expand the ITS scenarios back to 20. We were exclusively introduced to one of the new missions at the Interplanetario: Neutralization. Joining the roster are: Data-Harvest, The Dig and Double Bind. This last one brings an asymmetrical mission back to ITS, but with a slight twist: you will now have to choose which objectives to complete from a set of options. I’m sure you’ll love it, and it will be quite a challenge in tournaments.

It’s time to leave the Treasure Hunters behind to make way for elite troops with the TEAM-OPs extra. A different way to play with the Spec-Ops we were used to. Three Troops that, in addition to being customizable, will grant you access to an extra Haris in your army list.

The ITS Direct Action scenarios undergo a slight modification by removing the Key-Ops rules. So, if you're just starting out in the tournament scene, this will make taking the leap into an event much less overwhelming, without losing the thrill of the challenge.

We've also decided to park Tactical Supports for the time being. Therefore, if you need help from High Command, your best bet is to request support from the TEAM-OPs.

Last but not least, we have changed the document format. In the last ITS, we tried a "mobile-friendly" version for the rules PDF that didn't quite work out as we intended. In this new edition of organized play, we want to take things a step further, so we have designed digital, printer-friendly, and fully auto-generating rules. This means any change we apply will be instantly reflected in the season rules document or the missions. And you will be able to generate both the rules and the missions as separate PDFs on the Experience page.

But if all this wasn't enough... The release of the ITS is accompanied not only by the Army update for SPEC-OPs and TEAM-OPs. We are also releasing the new version of the FAQ document and the rulebook update to version 5.3!

New challenges, new tools, a rules revision, and a horizon full of Satellites. This all boils down to one thing: ITS Season 18 is going to be a wild ride.

Are you ready?
