As you can imagine, we are hopelessly approaching the end of the current ITS season. Normally, the Interplanetary tournament usually marks the end of each season of Infinity competitive gaming, but in its absence and as you can already imagine, it is the IGW (Infinity Global Week) that will mark the end.
Therefore, next Monday September 2nd will be the final day of season 15 of ITS. Good luck in the last tournaments of the season!
And when will the next season start? Fear not, because you won't have to wait long for it.
ITS season 16 starts next September 10th. Yes, we are already starting the season knowing that N5 is coming this fall, but we don't want you to stop playing Infinity! So the season will be “divided” in 2 parts, one part you will play with N4 rules, and the other with N5. This first part of the season, being still N4, will have ITS rules that will be pretty similar to the season 15 rules. And in the second part, the ITS rules will change to adapt to N5. But all will be considered as a single season.
On the other hand, the current tournament pack will continue to be available for purchase until the new pack goes on sale, which will happen towards the end of the year.
Finally, it should be clarified that the tournaments that take place in the period from September 3 to 9 will count for the new season.
And what about the Satellite tournaments? We know you are anxious to know if they will continue to be held, and of course they will!
The Satellite Tournaments are big tournaments with a special K (i.e. more value for the rankings), in which the winner will have a guaranteed place for the next Interplanetario. In addition, from Corvus Belli we will support these tournaments with a generous amount of prizes, as well as special mentioning in our channels. They are really very special tournaments!
The period to send applications and opt for your tournament to become an ITS Season 16 Satellite tournament is officially open. From today until September 16th you can send your applications to the following email: its.satellite@corvusbelli.com
In that email you must indicate:
- Name of the organizer.
- Country and city of celebration.
- Date of celebration.
- Estimated number of players (tournaments with a participation of 40 players or more are especially valued).
- Brief summary of experience organizing events (Photos of previous events are valued).
- Why should your tournament be a Satellite tournament?
As an important detail, a Satellite tournament must be held between October 1, 2024 and June 30, 2025 to be accepted.
Once the submission period is over, all the proposals will be studied and the new Satellite tournaments will be selected and announced a few days later.
Send your proposals and put your Satellites into orbit!
And for the avoidance of doubt, the Satellite winners of season 15 will keep their place for the next Interplanetario ;)
