The good thing about wargaming is… everything!
But, if we have to choose only one thing within the hobby, we would go for customization possibilities: painting, conversions, and basing.
You can find a plethora of products that will ease the customization process in the partner's guide: decals or pre-manufactured bases so that you only have to switch out the ones you have.
However, a simple and very fun way to personalize your gang is to create the bases yourself.
It’s much easier than it may seem at first! It will surely give a unique touch to your army.

Inspiration
Before starting, you’ll need to choose a theme or style related to the background of your army: exterior, jungle, laboratory, the interior of a ship, etc.
Where do you picture your faction defending itself?
To do so, we can find inspiration in movies, comics, illustrations, or simply by choosing an attractive environment to recreate.
Although the best thing to do is to let your imagination fly!
If you would like to be faithful to the Infinity background or just want to find inspiration in something related to the game, the books are always a great place to start, as they include information about the different factions and sectorials that will surely be useful to guide you along.

Once you have in mind the idea you want to develop, remember it’s important to create a cool base, but keep it simple!
You don’t want it to steal the show from the miniature.
Think of the base as the frame of a beautiful painting - you want it to complement the work, but not detract from it.
What do you need?
The next step is to choose and get the materials we are going to use. There is a wide range of useful everyday objects and materials that you would never imagine you could use. A good modeler is always looking forward to seeing new opportunities in objects that apparently should be recycled.
The garbage of one man is the treasure of another
Sites such as hardware stores, bazaars, toy stores, and the streets themselves(parks, gardens, etc.), are great and affordable places to find basing material.
Below, we will show you some examples of customized bases with different materials. We have used stuff that you can find in the aforementioned sites or simply at home.
Let’s say: pieces of mosquito netting, grids, plastic tubes, small electronic components, putty, artificial plants for aquariums, etc.
The important thing is to always be on the lookout to find things! Let yourself be inspired by the work of other artists. Remember that nobody is born with this knowledge, surely after spending hours browsing the hashtag of #PaintingInfinityTheGame you’ll be able to find and apply more and more ideas!
