Among the Observance of Saint Mary of the Knife, Cassandra Kusanagi has the status of a veritable celebrity. A dangerous badass with the confirmed kills to prove it, she was heralded as the hero of Bakunin after the Violent Intermission. Kusanagi was able to detect the infiltration of ALEPH’s commandos early and reacted accordingly by coordinating the Observance’s forces from the ground. Her efforts made it possible to frustrate the offensive, but unfortunately, no conclusive evidence to implicate ALEPH could be retrieved.
Reverend Superior Cassandra Kusanagi has been on active duty as a Moira for decades. She owes her youthful looks to anti-aging treatments and biosynthetic augmentations. She is as cold, slender, and quiet as death itself. Her face, blank as a mask by default, has been trained to display emotion only on command. Her movements are delicate as a Hindu dancer’s, but there is a tinge of something frozen and reptilian in her...
Kusanagi could be likened to an ancient ceremonial sword: elegant and distinguished, but also sharp and lethal as the steel in which she was forged.
Her combat experience is so wide and diverse that she makes the most seasoned soldiers feel like rookies. She has served as a regular trooper in Bakunin and the Nomad Military Force, as an operative for the Observance and as an undercover agent for Black Hand.
She has fought soldiers, TAGs, pirates, alien units, government agents, and ALEPH Aspects, and has outlived them all. Her self-command in combat is chilling, and her outbursts of religious furor strike terror into her own allies. Kusanagi is not like those dangerous, self-assured types you hear about— she is way worse.
