Haqqislam, the new islam, is a minor power, spread across only a single planetary system, bourak. Haqqislam has built a culture around a humanist, scholarly version of islam that is in constant contact with nature and rejects all fundamentalism. DAYLAMI INFANTRY
The Daylami Infantry is formed by guerrilla militias recruited from the tribal provinces of Iran Zhat Al Amat. The Daylami do not receive formal military training because they neither want nor need it.
The warrior caste of each clan is responsible for preparing their young. The Haqqislamite state allows them to have their own territorial units as it is considered an offense to have others defend their homes. The Daylami only ask for a little action once in a while so that all of their young recruits can become full members of the clan. The bellicose reputation of these mountain guerrillas has been built on a long history of military campaigns both in the service of the Sword of Allah and in support of secret Hassassin Bahram operations.
HASSASSIN BARIDS
The Hassassin Society draws its power from the indisputable and proven fact that no one can be safe from them. No defense strategy is really effective, because the Hassassin has no need for an escape route. For these expert killers, their own deaths are a possibility assumed from the get-go. There is no safe place to hide because for the Hassassin there are no insurmountable obstacles or barriers. The Hassassin lurk among us freely and can approach their victims unnoticed wherever they have sought refuge. In today’s world, where society moves more often through information networks than physically, Hassassin needs to have cyber-action capacity. It is therefore little wonder that some of the sect acolytes are specialized in data sphere operations.
The designation of these Hassassin is Barid, “messenger”, for they must deliver the message that any threat to the Search for Knowledge is paid for dearly. The task of the Barid is to trace the movements of their objectives through the data sphere, mapping their activity in the network as reference documentation and intelligence data for all other Hassassin operatives. But the real work of the Barid, what they excel at, is cyber-combat: neutralizing cyber-threats and hostile elements which operate via networks. In the style of the society, the Barid are cyber-assassins capable of eliminating their targets with gleaming cyber-attacks that fry brains and systems in a flash of destruction. Sudden and spectacular death is the signature of the Hassassin Society as much in the virtual world as in the real world.
HASSASSIN LASIQS
The Lasiqs are the long executioner arm of the Hassassin sect; they are specialists in long-distance death. Patience, sharp vision, steady hands, and a strong moral conviction in the organization’s objectives are the qualities required to become a Lasiq. Designated for assassination operations, but only when circumstances do not allow a Fiday to be sent, they will follow their target, determine its routines, and neutralize it cleanly from a great distance, sowing fear and feelings of impotence in the hearts of all those who surround their prey. But Lasiqs are also the observers of the organization. Their function is to monitor and supervise, and if something goes wrong, they intervene with mortal precision. On support missions their role is to ensure the viability of an operation and the safe exit of the agents involved, clearing their way with accurate and deadly fire. Accustomed to operating in urban environments and to facing tactical situations with multiple objectives, they have developed an operating method that emphasizes mobility over camouflage, changing position after several shots to create an atmosphere of chaos and confusion.
Lasiqs exemplify and personify the old maxim of elite snipers: “One shot, one kill”, and they have the necessary weapons to do it. The Hassassin sect has put all of the Haqqislamite biomedical machinery at the service of their sinister purposes. No Lasiq impact wounds; they all kill directly and definitively.
HASSASSIN NADHIR
In the Hassassin Society they teach you everything about killing. Killing in combat, killing in cold blood, killing in any circumstance, but above all, killing with absolute conviction. Because there is no more dangerous weapon, there is no sharper blade in the arsenal of the Hassassins than their doctrine, one that endows them with unwavering resolve and enables them to accomplish the mission and eliminate their target at all costs and without the slightest hesitation. And if there is a good example of this it is the Hassassin Nadhir, the heralds, invisible ambushers who execute their targets from a distance.
They enter no man’s land, unnoticed, in search of the best position from where they can locate their target and hold it in their sights until receiving the green light for the kill. It takes a lot of temperance and unscrupulousness to take a life in that way, but for a Nadhir, like any other Hassassin, their pulse never trembles, and their determination never fails; once a goal is assigned, its destiny is sealed. They are the chosen of the Old Man of the Mountain, invisible and elusive, shrouded in secrecy, and protected by the lord of mystery and secrets himself. The heralds of the Hassassin Society.
HASSASSIN BOKHTAR
“The sixth Subtlety, Ikhfa, is that of the medicine-person,
the one who has the knowledge to heal but also to kill
quickly and compassionately. It’s the Subtlety that helps
to identify weaknesses in any person or system and to
repair or exploit them. It’s a critical skill of the operative
tasked with saving the mission, the one to whom Allah
Himself can entrust the salvation of the Search for
Knowledge.”

This name is not bestowed upon them in vain, for the Bokhtar are full-fledged Hassassin who are part of the Inner Circle of the Hassassin Society and get their orders directly from the Old Man of the Mountain. Equipped with servo powered armor to enhance their skills, and without Cubes to avoid jeopardizing the secrets of the Hassassin sect, the Bokhtar are often sent on solo missions when the situation is critical and there is no possibility or opportunity to deploy a task force. They can also operate as an elite unit attached to a strike force if the prospects of a mission’s failure are deemed too high. Another role that the Bokhtar can assume is that of a rapid deployment unit, usually as reinforcements for a force already on the ground, at which point they live up to their nickname of “saviors.” Regardless of how mighty a force they must face, they will always overcome. Because nothing can frighten the Bokhtar; they’ve already been through hell and are ready to die once again if necessary. They’re not afraid of death, for they have died already, and they have come back from the other side stronger than ever. The Bokhtar embodies the answer to the question of what is wrought in the crucible of such harrowing experience: angels or demons? The Hassassin Society will reply that they are angels, but their victims will claim they are demons.
