185 years in the future, the planet Shinju stands on the brink of collapse. Following the sabotage by the Red Fever and escalating greed for its alien resources, geopolitical tension has reached a critical point of temperature and intensity (Hyperthermal). Amidst this power struggle, Spec-Ops — the deadliest agents of each faction — spring into action. Will they be able to evolve and adapt their equipment in the heat of battle? Will their covert actions determine whether Shinju is consumed by chaos?
Infinity Hyperthermal
Introducing Infinity: Hyperthermal, the new expansion book for our beloved sci-fi wargame, Infinity. In this book, we expand the lore from the main rulebook of this 5th edition of the game, diving deeper into the background of Haqqislam, ALEPH, and the recently revamped sectorials of OperationS and Corregidor, as well as Next Wave. We also cover the current situation of the Human Sphere on planet Shinju following the events of Operation Mazebreaker and Monday Signal, and as a major highlight, the Spec-Ops make a triumphant return with new designs, new operatives, and new miniatures accompanying this release.

Spec-Ops
Special Operations (Spec-Ops) operatives are the ultimate expression of your army's tactical versatility. They are unique, highly customizable troops designed to adapt to your playstyle, capable of tipping the scales in your favor during the most critical moments of battle. Their great advantage lies in evolution: each profile has a basic and an upgraded version, allowing players to equip skills and weapons without spending additional army points.
This past September 1st, as a prelude to the release of Hyperthermal, we updated both the Spec-Ops rules and their profiles in Infinity Army (you can check all the details in the corresponding blog post). Now, alongside Hyperthermal, the new Spec-Ops miniatures arrive in a brand-new format quite different from 14 years ago. They now consist of 3 miniatures: an MI Spec-Ops, an HI Spec-Ops, and a Spec-Bot.

Left to right: Gui Feng Spec-Ops (Yu Jing), Nexus-7 Spec-Ops (Combined Army), and Indigo Spec-Ops (PanOceania).
For the launch of Hyperthermal, we are accompanying the book with 3 different Spec-Ops: Indigo Spec-Ops (PanOceania), Gui Feng Spec-Ops (Yu Jing), and Nexus-7 Spec-Ops (Combined Army). Between now and the end of the year, Spec-Ops for Nomads, ALEPH, and Ariadna are also scheduled for November, with Haqqislam, JSA, and O-12 following in December. And don't worry, we will repeat the bundle alongside Hyperthermal every month so everyone can choose the Spec-Ops they like best and qualify for the exclusive Pre-order miniature, the mercenary Rumbler Spec-Ops, completely free with the purchase of Hyperthermal and a Spec-Ops box.
