Morat Aggression Forces Action Pack contains all the miniatures you need to compose a Morat Army List in the Combined Army and start collecting an army of the most savage alien force in the Infinity Universe.
MORAT VANGUARD INFANTRY
Vanguard Infantry regiments are the cornerstone of the Morat Aggression Forces. They bear the brunt of the Morat offensives that advance the EI’s campaigns of conquest. And they don’t mind at all. Morat soldiers are fierce to the marrow, big, strong and menacing even when disarmed. The Morat Vanguard Infantry has a long, broad, bloodied service record. It is a very strict corps, with a motto roughly equivalent to that of the old Foreign Legion: “March or die”.

Descending from ancient frontline regiments, the Vanguard Infantry has inherited many of their old, brutal traditions. Common rooms in their barracks display a prominent visioplaque with the following message: “You are Vanguard Infantrymen, your fate is to die, and the Army will take you to where your fate awaits.” Conventional armies fight for a final victory, but the Morat Vanguard Infantry know the end of a campaign heralds only the start of a new one. For a Morat, war never ends.
DARTOK CYBERCOMBAT TEAM
You won’t find any ghosts on Morat data networks, only bulldozers. Morat hackers always despise stealth techniques and infiltration in cybercombat, and always favor direct, aggressive tactics. In Morat cyberspace, apex predators do not hide, but rather prevail by sheer brute force and power. And the most outstanding example of this philosophy, which owes so much to the aggressive and blunt nature of the Morat, is the Dartok Cybercombat Team.
Like all technological breakthroughs in Morat civilization, the development of data networks took place under the aegis of military industry. This means that the first Morat hackers were soldiers who sought to breach or damage enemy data networks. Cybercombat techniques evolved together with data technology, which necessitated that the best Morat hackers, those who had the most advanced technology at their disposal, were all soldiers who served in support of the force or engaged directly in combat in cyberspace. However, the most widely admired of them, those who made the headlines in the army’s press, were the tactical hackers, the ones who were deployed in the physical battlefield and hunted down their enemies side by side with the rest of the troops. The elite of these Morat cybersoldiers is the Dartok Team, the best tactical cybercombat unit in the Aggression Force. Its members are given the same combat training as the Vanguard Infantry, and they are required to match the physical performance of the latter, so that they are later able to keep pace with any other tactical unit in battle in terms of movement, shooting, and hand-to-hand combat. Although their training makes the Dartok a force to be reckoned with in any physical confrontation, it’s their skills as infowarriors that make them truly frightening adversaries. Like any other Morat troop, their extremely aggressive instinct is one of their main attributes, which means that no one is safe in cyberspace when the Dartok are on the rampage.

During the war that ended with the Morat Supremacy’s absorption into the Ur Civilization, the Dartok couldn’t compete on a technological level with the hackers of the EI. However, that was no obstacle for these fierce cyberwarriors, who kept charging straight at their adversaries and wreaking havoc despite sustaining terrible casualties. Although it was clear that in the long run the war was lost, their tenacity and almost suicidal relentlessness caused a lot of trouble for the Ur hackers, who at some point were up against the ropes. For such outstanding combat performance, once the Supremacy was absorbed into the Ur civilization the Dartok were among the Morat units that benefited from Ur technological developments, though not too much. The cybercombat technology the Dartok have access to is limited, and it’s not as advanced as the technology available to equivalent units of other species that are part of the Combined Army. What are the reasons for this limitation? Beyond the Morat’s well-known disdain for any technology they haven’t developed themselves, it seems that the Combined Army High Command decided to establish certain limitations with regard to the type of cybercombat technology this unit can have access to. The lessons learned in the war to annex the Morat made it clear that, in the event of a hostile secession attempt by the Morat Supremacy, no one in the entire Combined Army would want to go up against a fully-equipped Dartok. Reportedly, the EI itself has dictated that, in the event of a confrontation with the Supremacy, members of the Dartok Cybercombat Team will become a priority target and must be killed first. The fact that they are at the top of the EI’s target list speaks volumes about how dangerous they are, so in practice it doesn’t really matter whether these bulldozers of the datasphere are subtle or not, because when you see them coming you know what you’re in for.
RAKTORAK: MORAT SERGEANT MAJOR
Within the Morat Aggression Forces, Raktorak is the highest rank on the scale of NCOs. The veteran soldier normally appointed to this position possesses superior organizational and combat skills. In each Morat regiment there is usually one Raktorak per unit assigned as the assistant or right hand of the captain or officer in command.
Considered the "first among equals" among all Morat sub-officers, the Raktorak is the middleman between the soldier and the officer in command. He is the person in charge of setting and enforcing all standards of discipline and behavior for the unit. As a sign of respect, officers always refer to Raktoraks by their rank followed by their name. This custom dates back to times before the Knife Renaissance.

As an assistant to the officer in command, a Raktorak must assist him with all daily tasks and act as his bodyguard and personal escort. The Raktorak is directly responsible for his security. A Morat Aggression Force axiom states that no Raktorak dies after their officer, especially in the case of the Suryat Regiment. The Raktorak must act as their constant shadow on the battlefield. As the right hand and confidant of an officer a Raktorak tends to be deployed as their direct representative on high-priority missions. He acts as the officer's eyes and fists on the ground. In order to meet the extremely tough requirements associated with the rank, a Raktorak must exceed any other Morat non-com in all levels. The Raktorak selection process is an accurate reflection of these demands and truly matches the Morat military mentality. All candidates are locked inside a closed space completely unarmed. The one still standing when the door is opened is the only one worthy of being called a Raktorak.
RASYAT DIPLOMATIC DIVISION
Contact with the Combined Civilization generated a series of changes in the culture and society of the Morat Supremacy. A diplomatic service suddenly became necessary. This used to be something completely useless to Morat because they had their Aggression Forces to fulfill these types of tasks. Old soldiers protested bitterly; diplomats belonged to weak, inferior races. With the creation of a diplomatic division the ridiculous signal was being conveyed that the Supremacy was becoming soft again. They were becoming a race of whining puppies like all other species they had subdued in the past. This simple fact would tarnish their prestige and reputation of relentlessness that dated back centuries. To avoid anything like this from happening the Rasyatnats, the Diplomatic Division, were formed to be a new unit within the Morat Aggression Forces. This division would be considered an elite unit despite its lack of history.

Only the toughest, rowdiest, most dangerous, xenophobic Gesurats could become diplomats and belong to the Rasyatnats. Their basic operating protocol is based on activities that penetrate into the heart of the enemy to learn more and suss out their weaknesses through fistfights. Training the members of this unit have received since its founding stresses aggressiveness and generating extreme violence through constant combat. The Diplomatic Division gained so much prestige that all Morat regiments soon competed in Sotaraks so their representatives could form part of the Supremacy's aggressive diplomatic service. Rasyatnats represent the purest embodiment of the Morat philosophy applied directly: "The biggest weapon is always the winner of any negotiation." It’s diplomacy provided in high-impact bursts.
KYOSOT KILLER PLATOON
Being a violent, belligerent, and militarized species, the Morat know a great deal about killing and even more about warfare. And one thing they are well aware of is that sometimes it takes much more than just fierce assault troops and devastating artillery to tear the enemy apart and cause such a brutal psychological impact to the few survivors that they can only choose between fleeing and hiding. There are times when the adversary is so alien and different that the usual tactics aren’t enough and you need a specialist shock team, small but capable of causing significantly more damage than any conventional unit. It’s not a question of firepower or weapons deployment, since the Morat Supremacy already has exemplary troops of this kind. What’s needed is a unit that specializes in True Death and assassination. Every shot fired by one of its members guarantees a casualty, every hit is a mortal wound. This is a shock unit capable of taking any position by assault, leaving a trail of dead bodies in its wake, casualties for which there will be no possibility of Resurrection whatsoever. They’re troops who have carefully studied their adversaries and not only know how to kill them for good, but have become true experts at it. It’s a small force capable of causing panic and terror within the ranks of their enemies, relentless and ruthless, the embodiment of death for any foe, no matter how tough and veteran they might be.

This platoon is named Kyosot, after the dagger used by Morat warriors of old to deliver a merciful death blow, one that put an end to the suffering of wounded adversaries and spared them the humiliation of defeat and enslavement. According to some rumors, its origins go back to an ancient secret society of soldiers who rejected Morat slave culture and would kill any Morat adversary they deemed worthy of an honorable death in combat. These troops specialized in fighting techniques focused on lethally damaging their target, becoming experts in delivering mortal wounds. Hidden among other Morat forces to avoid being annihilated, this brotherhood survived for ages, killing any worthy adversary its members came across, going unnoticed in the chaos of battle. However, their end might have come at the moment when the Supremacy came together and began to conquer other species. Their enemies were no longer Morat worthy of being granted an honorable death, but weaker species that deserved to meet their fate as slaves of the Supremacy. Nonetheless, the Kyosot are well aware of the nature of their own people, and they know that, at some point, a new civil war will break out, pitting Morat against Morat. Perhaps it will be an internal strife, or maybe a war to secede from the Ur Hegemony, with some Morat abiding by the principle of the rule of the strongest, which is the EI, and some others rebelling against it. In any case, the Kyosot will be there, ready to strike down any Morat worthy of their lethal blows, which they have perfected on every alien species the Morat Aggression Force has come across. These are the Kyosot, the mercy of a quick death.
KAITOK SHOCK REGIMENT
The Morat Aggression Force wasn’t created for defense, but to honor its name, which it wasn’t given in vain. The true purpose of the units that compose the Aggression Force is to serve as shock troops. So what sets the Kaitok apart from other Morat troops? Very simple; they take this axiom and exemplify it. The Supremacy created this regiment during their period of expansion throughout the stars. During this time the Morat spread too far, and the Aggression Force was unable to keep that much territory under control. So, they launched a recruitment campaign, offering volunteers the opportunity to join a new regiment with plenty of room for promotion, one in which they could write their name in history, adding to the unit’s track record, and improve their future prospects back in Morat society.

This esprit de corps was of paramount importance, for the idea was to create a cohesive unit whose members must be ready to operate as frontline shock troops who don’t fear death. For this reason, the Kaitok are trained not only physically, but also psychologically. The basis of these troops’ indoctrination is the acceptance of death as an inevitable and welcomed fact, one to be embraced with pride and honor. Each Kaitok enters a pact with death: they will not shun it and it will not pursue them. Death will simply arrive whenever it is preordained and unavoidable. For the Kaitok, as they are proper Morat, there is no greater honor than to die in combat. True Death comes only once and it must be as memorable as possible, for the greater glory of themselves and the regiment. This creates a distinctive and unmatched unit ethos that drives them to always seek to engage the enemy in close combat, precisely where they know they can do the most damage. The Kaitok will always ask to be assigned to the front line in battle, regardless of the circumstances and the opponent, and they will always go wherever the fight is, never shying away from it. Bearing this in mind, they will obey the orders they have received and even die, because they will never falter in carrying them out. For the Kaitok, comradeship is the only thing that ranks equal to death and duty, and they will never leave another Kaitok behind, even if they must all perish for it. Therefore, this regiment’s emblem embodies the ideal of the Morat soldier: glorious because it is stained with the blood of the fallen Kaitok, all of whom are as brave, dangerous, and fearsome as only an implacable creed such as theirs can forge.
ZERAT SPECIAL MISSIONS REGIMENT
Zerat is one of the Morat Regiments composed of women. If there is any military discipline where the Morat do not stand out, it's undoubtedly in the field of discretion. Nevertheless, based on their nature, genetics, or for a simple question of survival, Morat women have better qualities for infiltration and being stealthy. This is the reason why most Morat exploration units are formed by women. Even in the language of Morat, "Ze Rat" (the one who kills silently) is a synonym for a "female warrior." But the Zerat Regiment mission is not just about exploration. When push comes to shove, they are still troops that belong to the Supremacy. The Zerat take on a proactively violent combat attitude. Acting within this offensive facet, the Zerat generally move before the main military body. They always act in an open formation spread across the field and provide a protective screen to friendly units. The task of the Zerat is to perform highly aggressive attacks to harass and distract the enemy forces. They also kill officers and specialists, and destroy material and equipment to undermine cohesion within the adversary's chain of command.

The Zerat are known for having great flexibility when it comes to their tactics and their methods used for advanced war: fighting in forested or urban areas, covering flanks or performing attacks over difficult terrain or natural defensive positions. Their operating protocol also includes recon attacks where they carry out aggressive activities, acting alone or in small groups, highlighting enemy positions through offensive fire.
The term ‘women's regiment’ should not leave any room for confusion. The Zerat are full-blown Morat soldiers. They are just as dangerous as their male comrades. During the brief period that has passed since their arrival, the Zerat have already accumulated a long list of great feats across the entire Paradiso front. The Zerat form a combat and infiltration unit that is completely unpredictable, well equipped, and absolutely merciless if provoked.
