The conditions on Paradiso require troops with special instruction and abilities able to adapt to the wild ecosystem of the planet. The function of the Nagas in the Special Situations Section is to launch independent offensive operations or coordinate operations with other regular forces, striking enemy-controlled territory by land, sea, or air. They have carried out numerous extremely successful incursions since their creation thanks to their perfected silent infiltration, night combat, and terrain scouting techniques. They also work as a special exploration unit, using advanced cartographic devices to acquire an environmental knowledge superior to that of the native inhabitants. Nagas are also prepared to execute Direct Action and early engagement operations with the enemy.
They perform a variety of unconventional war tactics: guerilla or anti-guerilla warfare, Escape and Evasion, sabotage, anti-terrorism, and their specialty, jungle warfare. They have made an incredible reputation ever since the opening of the Paradiso front with successful high-risk operations against the Combined Army.
Trained on Acontecimento and forged in the emerald jungles of Paradiso, Nagas are clearly identifiable with the reptilian beings of Hindu mythology that give them their name. Their best virtue is the element of surprise, their unsettling genius for appearing wherever there is the tiniest hole in the enemy's defenses, and their extraordinary ability to execute quick actions within the hostile territory, qualities that make them unique for both the Section and those they fight side by side with.
