Infinity Deathmatch: TAG Raid development notes #1 – The Infinity CodeOne engine

When we were offered the chance to develop Infinity Deathmatch: TAG Raid, we accepted it
without giving it a second though. We were certain that the project would be a fascinating
adventure, and, as with any other great adventure, one of the first things you do is to
determine how to approach it, trying to make the journey as seamless as possible.
Unfortunately epic stories can’t wait, and there’s no time to prepare for the journey ahead
- they just thrust you into the road and at that moment you’re assaulted by self-doubt and
hesitation, and a whole load of “what ifs” and “buts” keep you awake at night. Despite
those uncertainties, we had one thing clear: that the Infinity CodeOne engine would be our
vehicle in this adventure.

The Infinity CodeOne engine would provide us with a solid system from which to set the rules
of TAG Raid. With this system, we can count on a polished base of rules that have stood
the test of time while keeping its freshness and vitality thanks to the Orders and ARO
dynamics, which guarantees that it’s “always your turn”.

Like any other self-respecting deathmatch, Infinity Deathmatch: TAG Raid demands thrilling
action. If we add the reactions and Face to Face Rolls of Infinity CodeOne’s engine to the
TAGs’ giant drills, we can rest assured that we’ll have it.
