TAGs have just arrived for Infinity CodeOne, but before raising the curtain to introduce the protagonists of this update - let’s talk a little bit about TAGs.
TAGs (Tactical Armoured Gear) are single-seat armored weapons platforms. They are characterized by their humanoid, arachnoid, or avian-like forms, which gives them an advantage when in an off-road environment. TAGs are designed to have a higher range of mobility and maneuverability to that of the human body. They are much less bulky than any light infantry support armor and almost as fast.
TAG engineers have used the most advanced technologies to achieve the best performance - reaching outstanding results in the combination of armored protection, firepower, mobility, and agility.
In a nutshell, TAGs are huge, fast, lethal, and resilient war machines at your disposal. Most importantly, they are ready to be the spearhead in your army list!
There is no question that TAGs have always been one of the most important and striking pieces of Infinity iconography, and that's why they couldn't miss Infinity CodeOne - so let's meet the protagonists of the month.
Cutters, Varuna Naval Hunters
The Cutter is the Remote Presence tactical armored gear model used by the Varuna Chasseurs Regiment of the Rapid Intervention Division. It was conceived for undercover operations and amphibious or underwater operations. Its design includes sound-suppressing equipment and an environment-adaptive skin capable of changing its reflective, radiative, and electrical properties at will, effectively canceling its optical and thermal output.
A classic among Infinity TAGs. PanOceanía is known to be the faction with the best TAGs. The Cutter proves just that, and this iconic beast is back in the game.
The Cutter is a hidden threat. Its Camouflage and Mimetism (-6) will make its presence known to the enemy when it’s too late - usually at the business end of a smoking MULTI Machine Gun.
Blue Wolf Regiment, Mongol Calvary of the State
The Blue Wolf Regiment is a nomadic unit, always changing its location, always on the move, so as not to be an easy target. And this is only possible thanks to their lightweight TAGs, which allow for greater mobility and require less equipment and support personnel than a conventional mechanized regiment.
Yu Jing receives a brand new TAG profile with this spectacular miniature.
The Blue Wolf, despite being a little smaller than other TAGs, is a tough contender. Its size gives it an agility that its counterparts lack, which will make it able to better dodge enemy attacks and its Dodge Skill (+ 1”/2.5cm) will allow it to reposition or trim the distance with the target and open it like a can with its AP Spitfire. For short distances or when the enemy piles up, its Heavy Flamethrower will be a great choice, but if things get too close, it's time to pull out your claws and defend yourself to the death with your razor-sharp DA CC Weapons.
Zeta Unit
Both in open combat and in low-intensity conflicts, the Zeta Units are Bureau Aegis’s sledgehammer, the ultimate deterrent, the final solution. Zeta Units’ pilots are implant warriors, wired to the Zetas to become killing machines, three times faster and more efficient than a common soldier.
O-12, the newest contender, incorporates this dangerous titan into his line up, with a new and imposing miniature. The Zeta Unit will allow you to stop the enemy by either hitting them to the ground with their Heavy Riotstopper or directly turning them into a red paste with the high rate of fire from their Hyper-Fast Magnetic Cannon and the option to use ammo that reduces armor.
All this makes a direct confrontation with it, not a good idea.
Special Armored Corp Sphinx
The Sphinx specializes in covert operations, where stealth becomes their most powerful weapon. They are largely invisible war machines, moving in silent sync with the environment until they deploy to the maximum all their armored power already in the middle of enemy lines, where they can do more damage.
Paranoia and fear will be the main tactics of this deadly shadow killer. Hidden behind his Camouflage and Mimetism (-6), it will hunt down the enemy with his Spitfire and burn away the morale of the adversary's army.
Another of the main strengths of the Sphinx is its great mobility, making it one of the fastest TAGs in the game. This allows it to take advantage of choosing its positioning before anyone else.
