Ko Dali, a character who has been in the Infinity Universe since its beginnings in 2005, now becomes the protagonist and engine in the plot of Infinity Betrayal, the new graphic novel for our favorite wargame. The book immerses us in a story of action and intrigue where treason is present at multiple levels - but the real question is who is the real Ko Dali?
It is a good question with a complicated answer. Ko Dali was a young agent of Yănjīng, Yu Jing's intelligence service. She fell out of favor when she left a mission to hunt down her father's assassins, who also was a veteran operative from the same agency. To her benefit, the State Empire Yu Jing believes in second chances, so the Special Operations Command of the Imperial State Army knew how to appreciate the qualities of this former spy by admitting her to one of its elite units - the Tiger Soldiers. It was there that Ko Dali would excel in this select team, acquiring an almost legendary status as one of Yu Jing's heroines. However, during a failed operation on the Paradiso front, this courageous woman would fall before the forces of the Combined Army, sacrificing herself to save the rest of her squad. She was left for dead, and her name became part of the wide list of heroes that the troops and citizens of the Empire State would later see as role models.

However, a physically changed Ko Dali (although still very recognizable) would reappear sometime later leading the Combined Army forces to proclaim the virtues of life under the leadership of EI and denouncing the hypocrisy of the governments of the Human Sphere. This raised the alarms of all the intelligence agencies within the Sphere and also many questions: Who really was that woman who incited the rebellion of the human troops? Was she who she said she was? Was she the real Ko Dali - healed and convinced by EI of the advantages of being part of the Ur Hegemony? Or was she a Ko Dali sepsitorized by the Combined Army - a device using voodoo technology that is the ultimate instrument of psychological warfare? Or maybe she was a Shasvastii impersonator, posing as this ancient heroine to cause paranoia and dissension among the human ranks?
What if this last idea was true? What happened to the authentic Ko Dali then? Is she truly dead, or perhaps a prisoner of EI - a fate worse than death?
A whole series of doubts and questions surround this woman, one of the greatest mysteries of the Human Sphere. Infinity Betrayal delves further into this story where few of its characters are what they claim.
There is one thing we know for sure about the beautiful and fearsome Ko Dali - it's her game data, her Unit Profile, which is always available in Infinity Army.
Ko Dali's game profile is greatly determined by her past. From her time as an agent of Yănjīng, she has a predilection for Assault Pistols, and she likes to carry two of them in her fast action holsters - common thing among outlaws and duelists from Novyy Bangkok, an asteroid club where she was assigned at the beginning of her career as a spy. The Combat Jump Special Skill is her most obvious link to her former team, the Tiger Soldiers - probably the most famous airborne unit in the Infinity Universe. Also from that time is her L1 Multispectral Visor, since she has always had the vocation of a hunter.
However, although her origins are relevant in this profile, the greatest transformation appeared when she jumped into the Combined Army (or when she was forced to join it) depending on which version you prefer to believe. To enhance her new alienity, Ko Dali reinforced her resistance to Shock Ammunition, and also acquired the inhuman Protheion Skill - which allows her to regenerate by devouring the enemies. However, such a highly capable agent could not be limited to a single operational role in the Combined Army, nor in its Onyx Contact Force Sectorial. This way, she would appear as the nemesis of the protagonist in Infinity Betrayal, with a new set of alternative abilities - replacing her airborne abilities with others such as Advanced Deployment and Mimetism, which are very suitable for such a sibylline character as this one. A profile that was designed already thinking on the new possibilities that N4 offers, including options for linking Fireteam in the Onyx Contact Force.

The set of skills and weapons of Ko Dali make her an active element for achieving objectives in a mission, or for executing surgical actions against specific enemy troops. She seems to be a valuable piece for the EI in the Human Sphere, and a key element for any Combined Army or Onyx Contact Force player who is lucky to have her in his ranks. However, there is something that no player should forget - the fact that they can line her up in the Army List does not mean that they can manage her. On the contrary, if they are neglectful they will be manipulated by Ko Dali, as she is the master of spies!
